BOLLYWOOD MOURNS THE DEMISE OF DEIGO MARADONA
Demise of Deigo Maradona
Bollywood celebrities mourned the demise of football legend and FIFA World Cup Golden Ball Award Winner from Argentina Deigo Maradona at the age of 60 on 25 November 2020 in Tigre Argentina. Among Bollywood celebrities were Shahrukh Khan, Karishma Kapoor , Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.
Shahrukh Khan expressed his condolences as " Deigo Maradona ... You made football even more beautiful. You will be solely missed and may you entertain and enthral heaven as you did this world. RIP.
Karishma Kapoor also expressed her emotions as " Had the honour of meeting this legend RIP #deigomaradona".
Arjun Kapoor expressed his emotions by posting a picture of Deigo Maradona holding Golden Ball and wrote " RIP legend #deigomaradona ".
Ranveer Singh mentions an old photo of him and wrote " #deigomaradona".
Deigo Armando Maradona was born on 30 October 1960 in Buinos Aires to a poor family that had moved from Corrientes Province. He was the first son after four daughters and has 2 younger brothers both of them are also professional football players.
Deigo Maradona was the greatest player of all time and one of the two joint winners of FIFA Player of the 20th century award. He was also given the name of " The Golden Kid ". He had mastery over ball control , dribbling , passing and vision thanks to his small stature ( 1.65m) . In his international career with Argentina he earned 91 caps and scored 34 goals. He played four FIFA World Cups . He was also credited with two goals in World Cup , which is called " Hand of God " and "Goal of the Century".
Later he became coach of Argentina national football team in November 2008 and coached various clubs and teams namely Dubai based club Al Wasi , Fujairah , became chairman of Belarusian club Dynamo Brest , coached Maxican club Dorados. He was the coach of Argentine Primera Division Club Gimnasia de la plata from 2019 until his death.
